It's a tale as old as time and it's playing out in the digital age as Mark Zuckerberg and Evan Spiegel battle it out for King of social media.

As Facebook gobbles up competitors in it's quest for dominance -- see Instagram, What's App and the list goes on -- and mimics the latest trends -- see Instagram Stories -- Snapchat has been innovating and delivering.

Snapchat refused the advances of Facebook nearly 3 years ago for a reported $3 Billion offer price that may even have been significantly higher.  A senior Snapchat executive was referenced in The Wall Street Journal -- "A Rival's Shadow Looms Over Snapchat IPO" as saying if people knew the real number they would have sent them to Bellevue. 

Wow -- makes one wonder what does SNAP know that we don't?  Surely all their cards aren't on the table.

Is it the fact that they refer to themselves as a camera company and therefore imply that they are much more than simply an app?  

Who will prevail?  

My money's on David and innovation and I'm not the only one.

Today SNAP received its first "buy" rating from Wall Street -- read here.  Many remain wary and reminisce of Twitter's lackluster performance after a much-hyped IPO.

Vintage and Decorative Books Marketing Video

My sister's company sells vintage and decorative books to architects and interior designers.  I've been helping her here and there as a soundboard with some marketing thoughts and advice.

Between daughter and sister how creative, smart and talented are the ladies in my family?  Just wait for a video next on my mom's coupon book for St. Augustine, FL ... It's a family thing!

What I can tell of Animoto so far is that it's an amazing tool that will be highly useful for professional or personal purposes.  I'm thrilled to have been introduced to it and look forward to creating more marketing videos.

The purpose of this blog was to -- continue blogging practice -- as well as to see if the Animoto video links were successfully incorporated into the blog.  We'll see!

Okay, took me a bit to figure out how to insert this cute Monday art, but I did it by inserting the URL.  Found the image on Google images -- SOOOO many choices.  

Warning this could become addictive!

Ok, that one was a bit more challenging ... had some trouble inserting the link directly from Google images,  after some trial and error figured out you have to open in a separate webpage and then copy the link ...
